Constitution
INTRODUCTION
Purpose :
The purpose of this constitution is to make Malaysian
Center for Global Ministry (MCGM) an Official Organization and to
provide a framework for its policies.
Constitutional Lingo :

Members = individual & institutional of the Network
Tracks = teams developing the priorities of the Network
Article I : Name and Purpose
Section 1 : The name of the organization shall
be MALAYSIAN CENTER FOR GLOBAL MINISTRY. It chooses to maintain
independence from any organization, except for networking purposes,
within and outside of Malaysia, in order that the Network's direction
may be determined solely by the members of the Network as they feel
led by God, and in order that resources of all other Christian organizations
may be used to the advantage of this Network.
Section 2 : The purpose of MCGM is to glorify God
by facilitating Christian unity in Missions within the Malaysian
Church and by encouraging the Malaysian Church to be actively involved
in missions.
Article II : Principles of Faith
Section 1 : The principles of faith are as follows:
a. The unique and divine inspiration, integrity, and authority of
the Bible, including The Great Commission of The Lord Jesus Christ.
b. The Deity and Humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
c. The necessity and efficacy of the substitutionary death of Jesus
Christ for the redemption of the world, and the historic fact of
His bodily resurrection.
d. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration
and sanctification.
e. The consummation of the Kingdom in the "glorious appearing
of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ."
Section 2 : All members of this Network must subscribe
without reservation to the above principles of faith.
Article III : Membership
Section 1 : Membership in this Network shall
consist of :
(a) Individual Members - any individual burdened and committed to
advancing the Missions Cause in and through the Malaysian Church
(b) Institutional Members - any institution (churches, denominations,
Christian organizations, Mission agencies, Bible/Missions schools)
burdened and committed to advancing the Missions Cause in and through
the Malaysian Church
Article IV : The Executive Committee
Section 1 : The Executive Committee shall be composed
of the selected officers as stated in Section 4, and any others
that they shall add from time to time.
Section 2 : The duties of this committee are:
(a) to carry out the purpose and general policies of this organization.
(b) to be responsible for the continuance of this organization as
efficiently as possible from year to year
(c) to call the annual meeting for the appointment of new officers
when applicable and for the submitting of the reports for the activities
of the past year.
Section 3 : One member of the Executive Committee,
i.e. Track Facilitator, shall communicate regularly with the leaders
of the Tracks and keep the EXCO informed of proposed plans and activities.
All major programs of the Tracks must first obtain the approval
of the EXCO.
Section 4 : These office-bearers of the Executive
Committee shall hold office for a period of 2 years, after which
they will need to be re-elected at the AGM.

b. Vice Chairman of the EXCO
c. Executive Secretary
d. Treasurer
e. Tracks Facilitator
f. Members without port-folio
Section 5 : : The members of the Executive Committee
shall individually uphold the purposes of this organization (in
keeping with Article IV, Section 2a) and determine their own specific
and collective duties according to the purpose of the organization
as stated in Article One.
Section 6 : : It shall be the responsibility of the
Chairman of the Executive Committee, with the assistance of the
members of the Executive Committee, to prepare a summary of the
year's activities (including a financial statement), which shall
be presented to the whole network during the Annual General Meeting
of MCGM.
Section 7 : : Elections - Members of the Executive
Committee shall be elected by a simple majority at the AGM.
Article V : Board of Reference
Section 1 : The EXCO shall appoint names of individuals
to be appointed to the Board of Reference for a period of 4 years
and their role is purely advisory and not executive.
Article VI : Meetings
Section 1 : The Executive Committee shall meet for
the purpose of monitoring the activities of the Network and prayerfully
laying plans for the direction of the Network at least once every
4 months.
Section 2 : The Members of the Network will meet at
least once a year, for the purpose of holding the Annual General
Meeting and also for consultation on the progress and future direction
of the Network.
Section 3 : Any other activities shall take place
deemed appropriate by the Executive Committee.
Article VII : Task Force
Sub-units of the Network, or "Task Forces,"
shall be created to facilitate the development of the priorities
that are adopted in the Annual General Meeting. Facilitators for
the Task Forces shall be chosen by the Executive Committee. These
Task Forces must meet frequently and work cohesively in order to
effectively implement these priorities.
Article VIII : Constitution and Amendments
Section 1 : The Constitution shall be adopted and
renewed annually by a two-thirds vote of the members of the Network
who attend the Annual General Meeting.
Section 2 : Amendments to this Constitution shall
not be valid unless it is voted for by two-third of the members
of the Network in attendance in the Annual General Meeting where
the amendments are proposed.
