Four (4) Primary Tracks of MCGM

1. O2F Network (O2Ff - "Outreach to Foreign/Migrant Workers")
The purpose of O2F Network is to assist and empower the local churches in Malaysia to see the challenge and opportunity of reaching out to the hundreds of thousands (and growing) of migrant workers in Malaysia. A number of these workers are from countries where there is severe restriction in sharing the Gospel. O2F Network has met annually in the last 3 years, and the increased cooperation as a result of this networking and the commitment of local churches and agencies has resulted in over 80 churches being started by local churches & networks of local churches, numerous resources being made available, leadership trainings and retreats, raising up of indigenous workers, link-ups with churches in their country of origin for continued discipleship when they return, and indigenous pastors/teachers being brought in to Malaysia to work with the local churches/networks of churches in areas of teaching and discipleship. As an example, in one particular migrant group in Malaysia (where they are severely persecuted back home and most are from an ethnic group which is listed as an Unreached People Group), we have seen over 8000 decisions to follow Jesus !!

2. MCMS (Malaysia Cross-Cultural Missions School)
This is a 9 week program jointly set up by 6 organizations (and we welcome more), for the common goal of preparing missionaries and tentmakers for sending agencies and churches (note :MCMS is NOT a "sending body". It trains and releases them back to the sending church/agency). The subjects are field related, particularly dealing with issues faced in the first 18 months of missionary service, which is critical for the well being and effectiveness of the missionary for long term service. Trainers are not "missions experts", but"missionaries" (past and present) who have had long years of experience on the field. Some of the subjects include "life of a missionary - discipline", "tentmaking / creative access", "interpersonal relationship", "church-planting teams", etc. The 9 weeks program is held from Jan Ð March each year, and classes are limited to a maximum of 15.

3. Missions Mobilization
SEMINAR/CONFERENCE : A number of things are being planned, including seminars on Missionary Care, Tentmaking,Missions & The Local Church, Crisis/Disaster Relief, etc. This short seminars will begin in the second half of 2006. In 2007, a major Missions Conference is being planned. This will be done together with the different missions agencies in Malaysia.

4. Information Hub
RESOURCES : A resource center is also slowly taking shape. Currently there are over 50 different videos on Unreached Peoples Profiles, different missions topics, training materials, etc.
NEWSLETTER : Every month, an e-missions bulletin goes out from MCGM highlighting different missions events of churches and agencies in Malaysia, resources, etc.

As the network develops, more tracks will evolve. Such evolution is largely on the basis of consensus of the pastors and leaders in Malaysia and is not dictated by the EXCO.
