Seven (7) Primary Tracks of MCGM
Missions Education & Cross-Cultural Training
Malaysia Cross-Cultural Missions School (MCMS) runs modular courses , for the common goal of preparing missionaries and tentmakers for sending agencies and churches . The subjects are field related, particularly dealing with issues faced in the first 18 months of missionary service, which is critical for the well being and effectiveness of the missionary for long term service. Some of the subjects include "community health education (CHE), "tentmaking / creative access", "interpersonal relationship", "church-planting teams", KAIROS, etc.
MCMS also runs special workshops, seminars, conferences, and dialogue sessions to mobilize and engage churches for missions i.e. Missions Committee Training, Developing A Missions Minded Church, Missions Mobilization Dialogues, etc.
Youth Missions
The Youth Missions track seeks to inspire and be a catalyst in networking with local churches and ministries in raising up a new generation to make God famous among all peoples. The Youth Missions track aims to see a youth missions movement take place in Malaysia – a new generation committing to be Senders or Goers in fulfilling the Great Commission and mobilizing their peers to do the same.
The Youth Missions track organizes a National Youth Missions Conference, commonly known as thePlan once every two years to advocate youth for missions.
Tentmaking & Market Place
To create an environment where the Malaysian Church can work together to mobilize the whole church towards fulfilling God's purpose using "tent-making" principles as a strategy in the nations.”
Missionary Care
The Missionary Care track of MCGM functions as a network for agencies and churches to connect and work together in engaging and educating the church on the importance of member-care.
The track sends out ETHNE Member-Care Bulletins - www.ethne.net/membercare, and has a resource website www.oasismembercare.net created to render resources and counsel available for missionaries in need of debriefing upon reentry or one-to-one, confidential counseling with member care professionals.
Missions Mobilization
The Missions Mobilization track is focused on creating avenues for Church & Mission leaders to network, learn, and collaborate efforts in sharing resources and models in mobilizing the Malaysian church towards becoming a missions-minded church.
Mobilization highlights – Missions Mobilization Dialogue, Mission Leaders Dialogue, Developing A Missions Minded Church Conference.
Unreached Peoples (UPGs)
The UPG track focuses on "people group" (ethnolinguistic group with a common self-identity that is shared by the various members) with little access to the gospel. The UPG track aims to be a catalyst in providing a platform for access to resources, networking, strategy planning, and mobilizing churches for reaching the Unreached.
The track organizes UPG dialogues with the aim of advocating churches to reach the lost.
